Cornea & Contact Lenses
Our contact lens center offers a wide selection of contact lenses including disposable soft contact, bifocal/multifocal, toric, and colored lenses. Whether you wear daily, weekly or monthly disposables, or conventional (vial) lenses, we have the lenses to fit your needs. Here are some of our conventional contact lens options:
Soft Contact Lenses
We offer spherical and toric contact lenses which are used for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and different magnitudes and degrees of astigmatism.
We also offer multifocal contact lenses which are primarily used for correction of presbyopia (decreased in near vision due to age). If you are interested in spectacle free good vision at all distances, these are the contact lenses of choice.
These contact lens options are available in daily disposables, bi-weekly disposables, monthly disposables, yearly disposables and also come in a range of cosmetic colored options.
Hard Contact Lenses
These are the contact lenses of choice for very irregular corneas and conditions such as Keratoconus, post refractive surgery ectasia and high corneal astigmatism. These lenses provide crisp clear vision with the added advantage of being durable while also optimizing corneal health.
Other Contact Lens Specialty Services
We also offer other contact lens related services including the management of corneal ectatic conditions and disorders relating to corneal health such as Keratoconus, Pellucid marginal degeneration, Post refractive surgery ectasia, non-surgical management of corneal pathologies. We also offer one of the widest ranges of specialty contact lens services available in the country like:
Corneal reshaping or orthokeratologic lenses offer day time clear vision without the need to wear spectacles or contact lenses in the day time. These gas permeable lenses gently reshape the cornea (transparent tissue covering the colored part of the eye) during sleep resulting in clear vision and correction of refractive error without the need for spectacles, contact lens wear or refractive surgery to achieve clear vision during waking hours! For those not suitable or not interested in refractive surgery but still want spectacle and contact lens free vision this is a great alternative.
Orthokeratology is also known to be an effective and safe tool in the control of myopia progression in children from the age of 6 and above.
